  1. Develop and implement strategies to identify and cultivate potential business opportunities for the university.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new trends and potential partnerships in the higher education sector.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, government agencies, and other educational institutions.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments and teams to develop proposals and pitch ideas for potential partnerships.
  5. Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring they align with the university's goals and values.
  6. Monitor and track progress of partnerships, ensuring they are meeting established objectives and targets.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in business development to continuously improve strategies and approaches.
  8. Develop and manage a budget for business development activities.
  9. Represent the university at conferences, events, and networking opportunities to promote and seek potential partnerships.
  10. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop effective promotional materials for potential partners.
  11. Train and mentor junior business development staff to support their professional development and contribute to the team's success.
  12. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities and progress towards goals.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the university in a positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Marketing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Business Development Or Sales, Preferably In A University Or Higher Education Setting.

  • Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Business Strategies And Partnerships.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of The Higher Education Landscape And Current Trends, As Well As A Passion For Promoting The Mission And Values Of The University Of California, Berkeley.
