Welcome to AileyCamp at the University of California, Berkeley! We are seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Group Leaders for our summer camp program. As a Group Leader, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people through dance and personal development activities inspired by the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. 1. Lead a group of campers through daily activities and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
2. Create and implement engaging and age-appropriate dance and personal development activities inspired by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
3. Serve as a positive role model for campers by demonstrating enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication to the camp's mission and values.
4. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all campers, regardless of their background, abilities, or identity.
5. Manage and maintain group dynamics among campers, addressing any conflicts or issues that may arise.
6. Collaborate with other Group Leaders and camp staff to coordinate and facilitate camp-wide activities and events.
7. Communicate regularly with camp leadership regarding any concerns, incidents, or successes related to campers or the program.
8. Ensure all campers are accounted for and follow proper safety protocols during transportation, field trips, and other off-site activities.
9. Attend and actively participate in all required training sessions and staff meetings.
10. Serve as a positive representative of AileyCamp and the University of California, Berkeley both on and off campus.
