  1. Provide administrative support to the academic department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing department events.
  2. Ensure that all administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and data entry, are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the academic department and other university departments, as well as external stakeholders, to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  4. Maintain and update departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with university guidelines and regulations.
  5. Manage the department's budget, including tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, and processing purchase orders.
  6. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new faculty and staff, including coordinating interviews and preparing orientation materials.
  7. Act as a point of contact for students, faculty, and staff, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Collaborate with other administrative officers and university staff to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.
  9. Stay informed about university policies and procedures, and ensure that the department is in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on administrative matters, contributing to the overall success of the department.
  11. Keep up-to-date records and reports on department activities, including enrollment data, student progress, and faculty accomplishments.
  12. Continually seek opportunities to improve departmental operations and propose innovative solutions to enhance the student and faculty experience.
  13. Represent the department in a professional and positive manner, both internally and externally, promoting the university's mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In An Administrative Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software, With The Ability To Learn New Systems And Technology Quickly.
