- Serve as the primary point of contact for academic departments and units on all HR-related matters, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with department heads and faculty to develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain top academic talent.
- Advise and assist managers and supervisors on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with university and legal requirements.
- Conduct investigations and provide guidance on employee relations issues, working closely with the appropriate university offices.
- Provide guidance and support to academic departments in the development and implementation of performance management processes.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in academic HR policies and practices, and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation.
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion by actively promoting and supporting initiatives and programs that promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with university and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other HR professionals to develop and deliver training programs for academic staff on various HR-related topics.
- Continuously assess and improve HR processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in supporting academic departments and units.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and university leadership, to gain a better understanding of their needs and provide proactive support.
- Serve as a resource for academic staff on HR-related issues and concerns, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR leadership team.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and communications.
- Act as an ambassador for the university and its values, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment for all academic staff.
A Master's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Human Resources Role, Preferably In An Academic Setting.
Extensive Knowledge Of Employment Laws, Policies, And Procedures, Specifically In Relation To Academic Personnel.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders Such As Faculty, Staff, And Administrators.
Experience With Hr Systems And Data Management, As Well As A Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Programs.
