  1. Facilitate weekly study sessions for assigned course(s) and provide academic support to students.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that align with course material and promote active learning.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students by creating a safe space for open discussion and collaboration.
  4. Utilize effective teaching strategies and techniques to help students understand and master course content.
  5. Serve as a role model and mentor to students by demonstrating effective study habits and time management skills.
  6. Communicate regularly with course instructors to stay updated on class material and provide feedback on student progress.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools to measure student learning and track progress.
  8. Act as a liaison between students and course instructors to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  9. Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge as an SI Leader.
  10. Serve as a positive representative of the University of Arkansas and promote academic excellence and community among students.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Academic Performance: Si Leaders Should Have A Solid Understanding Of The Subject Material And Have Excelled In The Course They Are Leading. A Minimum Gpa Of 3.0 Is Usually Required.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Si Leaders Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Students, Professors, And Other Staff Members. This Includes Both Verbal And Written Communication.

  • Leadership Experience: Si Leaders Should Have Experience In A Leadership Role, Whether It Be In A School Club, Sports Team, Or Previous Tutoring Experience. This Shows The Ability To Take Charge And Guide Others.

  • Time Management Skills: Si Leaders Must Be Able To Balance Their Own Coursework With Their Responsibilities As A Leader. They Should Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively To Ensure They Are Prepared For Each Session.

  • Positive Attitude And Enthusiasm: Si Leaders Should Be Enthusiastic About The Subject They Are Leading And Have A Positive Attitude Towards Helping Students. This Will Create A Welcoming And Supportive Environment For Students To Learn In.
