- Ensure the safety and security of the campus community by patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergency calls, and enforcing laws and regulations.

- Write detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all incidents and activities.
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, including victims of crime and those in distress.

- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and campus departments to address safety and security concerns.
- Serve as a positive representative of the University of Arkansas Police Department and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Continuously evaluate and assess potential risks and hazards on campus and take appropriate actions to prevent and mitigate them.
- Act as a role model and mentor to new officers and assist with their training and development.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement initiatives to build positive relationships with the campus community.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage of the campus.
Completion Of A Certified Police Academy: Applicants Must Have Completed A State-Certified Law Enforcement Training Program To Be Considered For A Police Officer Position At The University Of Arkansas. This Ensures That Candidates Have Received Proper Training And Are Familiar With State And Federal Laws.
High School Diploma Or Ged: All Applicants Must Possess A High School Diploma Or Ged To Be Eligible For A Police Officer Position. Having A Basic Education Level Is Necessary To Effectively Communicate And Understand Instructions.
Minimum Age Requirement: Candidates Must Be At Least 21 Years Of Age To Apply For A Police Officer Job At The University Of Arkansas. This Requirement Ensures That Applicants Have Had Enough Life Experience And Maturity To Handle The Responsibilities Of The Job.
Valid Driver's License: A Valid Driver's License Is Required For All Applicants, As Police Officers Are Required To Patrol And Respond To Emergencies On Campus. A Clean Driving Record Is Also Preferred.
