As an IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and solutions to our faculty, staff, and students.   1. Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students at the University of Arkansas.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  3. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement solutions to improve technology processes and systems.
  4. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
  5. Assist in the procurement and inventory management of technology equipment.
  6. Conduct training sessions for faculty, staff, and students on new technology systems and processes.
  7. Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in the field of education.
  8. Maintain a customer service mindset and provide excellent support to all users.
  9. Document and maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions.
  10. Adhere to university policies and procedures related to technology usage and security.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of technology systems.
  12. Respond to and resolve technical support requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  13. Provide after-hours support as needed.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve technical processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement and team collaboration.

  • Time Management And Multitasking Abilities: It Technicians At The University Of Arkansas Are Responsible For Handling A Wide Range Of Technical Issues And Requests. The Candidate Should Be Able To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Their Time Effectively, And Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field: While Not Always Required, A Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field Is Preferred For This Position. This Shows A Strong Foundation In The Technical Skills And Knowledge Necessary For The Role.
