  1. Develop and deliver engaging and informative lectures, discussions, and other instructional materials on various finance topics to undergraduate and graduate students.
  2. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure an effective and interactive learning experience for students.
  3. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and respect among students.
  4. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their coursework, assignments, and exams.
  5. Stay updated on current industry trends and incorporate real-world examples and case studies into course materials.
  6. Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters, including internships, job opportunities, and graduate school options.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and revise curriculum and course objectives.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall academic program.
  9. Maintain regular office hours to meet with students and provide academic support and guidance.
  10. Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and keep up with advancements in the field of finance.
  11. Adhere to university policies and procedures, as well as ethical and professional standards in all aspects of teaching and academic responsibilities.
  12. Contribute to the university’s reputation by actively promoting and representing the institution at professional conferences, events, and other public forums.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Finance Or Related Field: A Successful Candidate For An Instructor Of Finance Position At University Of Arkansas Should Possess At Least A Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field. A Ph.d. In Finance Is Preferred.

  • Teaching Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Teaching Finance Courses At The Undergraduate Or Graduate Level. Prior Experience Teaching At A University Or College Level Is Highly Desirable.

  • Industry Experience: A Candidate With Practical Experience In The Finance Industry, Such As Working In Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Or Financial Analysis, Will Bring Valuable Real-World Perspectives To The Classroom.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Tools: The Ability To Effectively Use Financial Modeling Software, Data Analysis Tools, And Financial Databases Is Essential For An Instructor Of Finance. Proficiency In Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, And Other Relevant Software Is Highly Desirable.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: An Effective Instructor Should Be Able To Clearly And Concisely Communicate Complex Financial Concepts To Students Of Varying Backgrounds. Additionally, The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Colleagues And Students Is Essential For Creating A Positive Learning Environment.
