Heavy Equipment Operator I

1. Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and graders.
2. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment as needed.
3. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating heavy equipment.
4. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and maintenance of equipment.
6. Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisor.
7. Adhere to all university and department policies and procedures.
8. Utilize GPS and other technological systems to accurately complete tasks.
9. Complete necessary paperwork and record keeping related to equipment usage and maintenance.
10. Assist with snow removal and other emergency situations as needed.
11. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in equipment operation and maintenance.
12. Attend all mandatory safety trainings and meetings.
13. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other university staff.
14. Represent the university in a professional manner at all times.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
