
Heavy Equipment Operator I

As a member of our Facilities Management department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our campus infrastructure. - Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and graders.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and maintenance of equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Adhere to all university and department policies and procedures.
- Utilize GPS and other technological systems to accurately complete tasks.
- Complete necessary paperwork and record keeping related to equipment usage and maintenance.
- Assist with snow removal and other emergency situations as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Attend all mandatory safety trainings and meetings.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other university staff.
- Represent the university in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment, Such As Bulldozers, Excavators, And Front-End Loaders.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Cdl) With A Clean Driving Record.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Regulations For Operating Heavy Equipment In A Construction Setting.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills.
