  1. Provide support to the child care team by assisting with daily activities and tasks.
  2. Help create a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  3. Ensure the well-being and development of children by following established protocols and guidelines.
  4. Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and children.
  5. Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and programs.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's attendance, behavior, and progress.
  7. Follow all safety and health regulations and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized child care facility.
  9. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  10. Serve as a positive role model for children and promote positive behavior and social skills.
  11. Provide emotional support and guidance to children as needed.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the child care program.
  13. Adhere to the University of Arkansas' policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Applicants For This Position Should Possess At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate Basic Educational Qualifications.

  • Prior Experience In Child Care: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Child Care Setting, Preferably With Children Of Various Age Groups, Is Required For This Position.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: Candidates Must Possess Current Certification In Cpr And First Aid, Or Be Willing To Obtain It Within The First 3 Months Of Employment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Children, Parents, And Other Staff Members Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: This Position Requires A High Level Of Flexibility And Adaptability, As The Daily Tasks May Vary And The Candidate May Need To Adjust To Changing Schedules And Situations. Candidates Should Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment.
