
Director of Women’s Basketball On-Court Development

- Develop and implement a comprehensive on-court development program for the women’s basketball team, focused on improving individual and team performance.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive team culture that fosters growth and development for all student-athletes.
- Provide individualized training and coaching to players, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for growth.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff to develop game plans and strategies for upcoming opponents.
- Monitor and analyze player performance and make adjustments to training and development plans as needed.
- Scout and recruit top talent to enhance the overall skill and competitiveness of the team.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for student-athletes, promoting academic success, sportsmanship, and leadership.
- Oversee the scheduling and organization of practices, ensuring a productive and efficient use of time.
- Work closely with strength and conditioning coaches to develop a comprehensive physical training program for players.
- Collaborate with academic advisors to monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with alumni, boosters, and the community to enhance support for the women’s basketball program.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in on-court development and implement new strategies as appropriate.
- Manage the budget for the women’s basketball on-court development program, ensuring responsible and effective use of resources.
- Represent the university and women’s basketball program in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director.
Extensive Coaching Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Coaching Experience At The Collegiate Level, With A Proven Track Record Of Success In Developing Players And Leading Teams To Victory.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Women's Basketball: The Director Of Women's Basketball On-Court Development Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Sport, Including Rules, Strategies, And Trends. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Landscape Of Women's College Basketball And Have A Strong Network Within The Industry.
Strong Leadership Skills: This Role Requires Someone Who Can Effectively Lead And Motivate Players, Assistant Coaches, And Support Staff. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Creating A Positive And Competitive Team Culture, As Well As The Ability To Make Tough Decisions And Manage Conflicts.
