Welcome to the University of Arkansas, home of the Razorbacks! We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Women’s Basketball On-Court Development. This position is responsible for leading and developing our women’s basketball program to reach new heights of success.   1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for the women’s basketball program that aligns with the university’s overall athletic goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee all aspects of on-court development for the women’s basketball team, including practice planning, player development, and game strategy.
  3. Recruit and retain top-tier student-athletes who are not only talented on the court, but also demonstrate strong character and academic excellence.
  4. Provide leadership and mentorship to the coaching staff, ensuring a positive and cohesive team culture.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with high school and club coaches, as well as other key stakeholders, to identify and recruit top talent.
  6. Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the personal and athletic growth of each student-athlete.
  7. Monitor and ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
  8. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote and elevate the women’s basketball program within the university and community.
  9. Develop and manage the team’s budget, including travel, equipment, and other necessary expenses.
  10. Continuously evaluate and assess the team’s performance and make necessary adjustments to achieve success.
  11. Foster a sense of pride and loyalty among team members, alumni, and fans.
  12. Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes, representing the university and the women’s basketball program with integrity and professionalism.

  • Extensive Coaching Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience Coaching Women's Basketball At The Collegiate Level, With A Proven Track Record Of Success And Player Development.

  • Strong Recruiting Skills: The Director Of On-Court Development Should Have A Keen Eye For Talent And The Ability To Attract Top Recruits To The University Of Arkansas. They Should Also Have A Strong Network And Relationships Within The Women's Basketball Community.

  • Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations: It Is Essential That The Candidate Has A Comprehensive Understanding Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations, As Well As A Commitment To Operating Within Compliance Guidelines.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Key Member Of The Coaching Staff, The Director Of On-Court Development Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Players, Coaches, And Staff.

  • Commitment To Player Development: The University Of Arkansas Is Dedicated To The Holistic Development Of Its Student-Athletes, And The Ideal Candidate Should Share This Commitment And Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing Players Both On And Off The Court.
