Job Description

Welcome to the University of Arkansas, home of the Razorbacks! The Arkansas Alumni Association is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Finance. As the Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organization and ensuring the long-term financial stability of the Alumni Association. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who shares our passion for supporting the University of Arkansas and its alumni community.   1. Oversee and manage all financial operations of the Arkansas Alumni Association.
  2. Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the long-term financial stability of the organization.
  3. Create and maintain accurate financial records, including budgets, cash flow projections, and financial reports.
  4. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to senior management.
  5. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure financial goals align with overall organizational objectives.
  6. Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as banks and financial institutions, to secure funding and investments.
  8. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
  9. Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Assist in the development and execution of fundraising and development strategies.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in finance to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  13. Represent the Alumni Association at financial meetings and events.
  14. Collaborate with the Alumni Association's marketing and communications team to promote financial opportunities and initiatives.
  15. Act as a liaison between the organization and the University of Arkansas finance department.
  16. Maintain a strong understanding of the University of Arkansas and the Razorback community to effectively support the Alumni Association's mission and goals.
  17. Communicate financial updates and progress to senior management and other stakeholders.
  18. Uphold the values and mission of the organization in all financial decisions and actions.
  19. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial information.
  20. Collaborate with the Director of Development to align fundraising and financial goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Finance Or Accounting, Preferably In A Non-Profit Or Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Analysis, Budgeting, And Forecasting.

  • Experience Managing A Team And Working With Cross-Functional Departments.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Present Financial Information To Non-Finance Stakeholders.
