  1. Develop and teach courses in occupational therapy at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  2. Provide mentorship and guidance to students pursuing a career in occupational therapy.
  3. Conduct research in the field of occupational therapy and contribute to the body of knowledge in the discipline.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement evidence-based curriculum and teaching methods.
  5. Engage in service activities, such as serving on committees, participating in professional organizations, and providing community outreach.
  6. Supervise and evaluate students in clinical and fieldwork experiences.
  7. Stay current with advancements in the field of occupational therapy and incorporate them into teaching and research.
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
  9. Participate in faculty development activities to enhance teaching and research skills.
  10. Participate in the admissions process for the occupational therapy program, including reviewing applications and conducting interviews.
  11. Collaborate with healthcare facilities and organizations to provide opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience.
  12. Serve as an advocate for the occupational therapy program and the profession of occupational therapy.
  13. Maintain a strong professional network and collaborate with other professionals in the field.
  14. Contribute to the accreditation process of the occupational therapy program.
  15. Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives and events.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Occupational Therapy Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Practice As An Occupational Therapist

  • Evidence Of Scholarly Activity, Such As Publications And Presentations

  • Experience Teaching At The University Level, Preferably In Occupational Therapy Or A Related Field

  • Current Certification And Licensure As An Occupational Therapist In The State Of Arkansas Or Eligibility For Licensure
