- Oversee the management and maintenance of the University's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and in compliance with all regulations and policies.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive fleet management plan that includes vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal strategies.
- Lead and supervise a team of fleet technicians and administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for fleet services, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to understand their transportation needs and provide efficient and effective solutions.
- Ensure all fleet vehicles are properly registered, licensed, and insured.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program, including scheduling routine inspections and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and expenses.
- Monitor and analyze fleet data to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and report on overall fleet performance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve fleet operations and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Serve as a point of contact for any fleet-related inquiries or concerns from the campus community.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in fleet management technology to continuously improve services and operations.
- Represent the University in meetings and events related to fleet services.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, teamwork, and professional development.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Transportation Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fleet Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Fleet Operations, Maintenance, And Compliance Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Vendors And University Departments.
