1. Oversee the management and maintenance of the University's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and in compliance with all regulations and policies.
2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive fleet management plan that includes vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal strategies.
3. Lead and supervise a team of fleet technicians and administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
4. Develop and manage the annual budget for fleet services, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
5. Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to understand their transportation needs and provide efficient and effective solutions.
6. Ensure all fleet vehicles are properly registered, licensed, and insured.
7. Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program, including scheduling routine inspections and repairs.
8. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and expenses.
9. Monitor and analyze fleet data to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and report on overall fleet performance.
10. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve fleet operations and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
11. Serve as a point of contact for any fleet-related inquiries or concerns from the campus community.
12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in fleet management technology to continuously improve services and operations.
13. Represent the University in meetings and events related to fleet services.
