- Develop and implement creative and therapeutic recreational activities for patients.
- Plan and facilitate music therapy sessions to improve physical, emotional, and social well-being of patients.
- Utilize art therapy techniques to help patients express themselves and cope with their health conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients during therapy sessions.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients during therapy sessions.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Stay current with developments and trends in recreation, music, and art therapy to enhance treatment approaches.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients and colleagues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve therapy programs to meet the changing needs of patients.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to involve them in the therapy process and provide support and education.
- Adhere to all Universal Health Services policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Or Art Therapy.
Certification In Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Or Art Therapy From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Therapeutic Recreation Association (Atra).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Therapist In A Mental Health Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions, Particularly In The Areas Of Recreation, Music, And Art.
Ability To Work On Weekends And Holidays To Provide Therapy Services To Patients As Needed.
