  2. Answer incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate department or individual.
  3. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with patients and visitors.
  4. Provide accurate and timely information to callers regarding services, policies, and procedures.
  5. Assist with scheduling appointments and updating patient information.
  6. Monitor and respond to voicemails and emails in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain a thorough understanding of the healthcare organization and its services.
  8. Follow all privacy and security protocols when handling sensitive patient information.
  9. Utilize strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple phone lines and tasks simultaneously.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns raised by patients or visitors.
  12. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on procedures and policies.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: Universal Health Services Is A Healthcare Organization, So A Telephone Operator Should Have Knowledge Of Medical Terminology To Accurately Transfer Calls And Provide Information To Callers.

  • Attention To Detail: A Telephone Operator Must Be Able To Accurately And Efficiently Handle A High Volume Of Calls, While Ensuring That All Information Is Recorded Correctly And Calls Are Properly Directed.

  • Multitasking Abilities: In Addition To Answering And Transferring Calls, A Telephone Operator May Also Be Responsible For Scheduling Appointments, Managing Voicemails, And Other Administrative Tasks. The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Is Essential For Success In This Role.
