Job Description

Are you a tech-savvy individual with a passion for healthcare? Universal Health Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Pharmacy Tech to join our team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced pharmacists to provide essential support in our fast-paced pharmacy department.   1. Assist pharmacists in dispensing and preparing medications for patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Utilize technology, such as electronic health records, to accurately process and maintain patient information.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking of medications and supplies.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely delivery of medications to patients.
  6. Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims and billing procedures.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  8. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards in regards to medication dispensing and patient confidentiality.
  9. Continuously expand knowledge and skills in pharmacy operations and technology.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and take direction from pharmacists to ensure efficient workflow.
  11. Act as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare providers.
  12. Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and assist with tracking and reporting of medication errors or discrepancies.
  13. Participate in training and educational opportunities to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  15. Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field, With A Valid State License To Practice As A Pharmacist.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Retail Pharmacy Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Make Critical Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
