- Perform daily tasks related to the cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare and assemble surgical instrument trays and sets for use in procedures.
- Inspect instruments for functionality and report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and order new supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for patient procedures.
- Follow proper documentation and record-keeping procedures to track instrument usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in sterilization techniques to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Train and mentor new team members on proper sterilization techniques and protocols.

Completion Of An Accredited Sterile Processing Technician Program.
Certification As A Sterile Processing Technician By The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (Iahcsmm).
Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques, Infection Control Procedures, And Medical Terminology.
Ability To Use And Maintain Equipment Related To Sterilization And Cleaning.
