- Perform sterilization procedures on all surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and industry standards.
- Inspect instruments and equipment for damage, wear, and proper functioning, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of all sterilization processes, including tracking expiration dates and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Assist in the ordering and inventory management of sterile supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in sterile processing.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Completion Of An Accredited Sterile Processing Technician Program Or Equivalent On-The-Job Training.
Certification As A Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or Certified Sterile Processing And Distribution Technician (Cspdt).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Sterile Processing Department, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Infection Control And Sterilization Techniques, As Well As Medical Terminology And Surgical Instruments.
Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment, Prioritize Tasks, And Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures.
