- Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and compassionate manner.
- Registering patients accurately and efficiently, collecting all necessary information and verifying insurance coverage.
- Answering phone calls and addressing patient inquiries, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorizations as needed.
- Collecting and processing payments and co-pays from patients.
- Maintaining knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to accurately assist patients with any questions or concerns.
- Resolving any patient issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate and organized patient records.
- Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry changes and best practices.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure all patient needs are met.
- Providing support and guidance to junior staff members as needed.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Patient Access Or Registration In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Verification And Authorization Processes.
Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Records (Ehr) And Patient Management Systems.
Excellent Customer Service And Communication Skills With The Ability To Handle Difficult Or Sensitive Situations With Empathy And Professionalism.
Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Coding, Such As Cpt And Icd-10, To Accurately Process And Code Patient Information.
