  1. Manage patient scheduling for surgical services, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of appointments.
  2. Communicate with patients and their families to provide necessary information and instructions for appointments.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including insurance information and billing codes.
  4. Work closely with surgical team to ensure proper scheduling and coordination of procedures.
  5. Review and verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  6. Prepare and submit accurate and timely billing for services rendered.
  7. Monitor and follow up on outstanding patient balances and work towards timely resolution.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless flow of information and coordination of services.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions related to scheduling or billing.
  10. Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to scheduling and billing, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  12. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
  13. Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support the surgical services department.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Scheduling And Billing In A Surgical Services Setting.

  • Proficient In Medical Billing And Coding, Including Knowledge Of Cpt And Icd-10 Codes.

  • Strong Understanding Of Insurance Policies, Procedures, And Reimbursement Processes.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records And Scheduling Systems, With The Ability To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Software.
