- Provide exceptional care to patients before and after surgery.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their stay at the surgery center.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their recovery after surgery.
- Administer medications and assist with pain management as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience for patients.
- Document all patient care and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to maintain and enhance nursing skills.
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that patients' needs and concerns are addressed.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): A Bsn Degree Is Typically Required For Rn Positions In A Surgery Center Setting, As It Provides A More Comprehensive Education And Prepares Nurses For A Variety Of Patient Care Scenarios.
Current Rn License: Candidates Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Where The Surgery Center Is Located. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met All State Requirements For Practice And Is Able To Provide Safe And Effective Patient Care.
Experience In Pre-Op And Pacu: Previous Experience In A Pre-Operative And Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Pacu) Is Highly Preferred For This Position. This Experience Demonstrates The Nurse's Ability To Assess, Monitor, And Care For Patients Before And After Surgery.
Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Essential For Rn Positions In A Surgery Center. These Certifications Demonstrate The Nurse's Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working In A Surgery Center Requires Collaboration And Communication With A Variety Of Healthcare Professionals, Including Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, And Other Nurses. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Necessary To Ensure The Best Possible Outcomes For Patients.
