- Provide exceptional healthcare services to elderly patients with mental health needs.
- Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in psychiatric geriatrics to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: This Position Requires A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice.
Registered Nurse (Rn) License: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Active Rn License In The State Where The Job Is Located. This License Is Necessary To Practice Nursing And Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Minimum Competency Standards Set By The State.
Experience In Psychiatric Nursing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Psychiatric Nursing, Specifically Working With Geriatric Patients. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Needs And Challenges Of This Patient Population.
Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls). These Certifications Are Necessary To Respond To Medical Emergencies And Ensure The Safety Of Patients.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Position Requires The Candidate To Work Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Address The Needs Of Geriatric Patients And Work Collaboratively With The Interdisciplinary Team.
