Job Description

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As an RN in our PACU, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective recovery of our patients after surgery.   1. Provide direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients after surgery.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their physical and emotional well-being during the post-operative period.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement comprehensive post-operative care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  6. Identify and address any potential complications or adverse reactions in a timely manner.
  7. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  8. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and medications accurately and timely.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
  10. Stay updated on current nursing practices, procedures, and guidelines related to post-operative care.
  11. Advocate for patients' needs and rights, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns addressed.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  14. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing Universal Health Services' values and mission.
  15. Continuously strive to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Pacu).
