  1. Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Monitor and adjust respiratory equipment, such as ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  4. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care during respiratory distress situations.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and document all treatments and interventions.
  8. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in respiratory therapy to provide the best possible care.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational sessions.
  13. Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
  14. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
  15. Meet productivity and performance goals set by the hospital.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Is Required For This Position. This Degree Should Be From An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Rrt Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc). This Certification Is A Standard Requirement For Respiratory Therapists In Most Healthcare Facilities.

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid State License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist. This License Should Be Current And In Good Standing With The State Board Of Respiratory Care.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working As A Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Or Other Healthcare Setting Is Preferred. This Experience Should Include Working With A Diverse Patient Population And A Variety Of Respiratory Conditions.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Respiratory Therapists Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team To Provide The Best Possible Care For Patients.
