
Remote Referral RTC Admission Counselor

- Conduct initial screenings and assessments of potential patients to determine their eligibility for admission into the Residential Treatment Center.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, mental health facilities, and community organizations to ensure a steady flow of patients.
- Educate and inform potential patients, their families, and other stakeholders about the services and programs offered at the Residential Treatment Center.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient based on their specific needs and goals.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner to facilitate the admission process.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to obtain authorization for treatment and ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
- Conduct follow-up calls with patients and their families to provide support and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and guidelines related to the referral and admission process.
- Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and the treatment team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to the referral and admission process.
- Participate in marketing and outreach efforts to promote the Residential Treatment Center and attract potential patients.
- Adhere to departmental and organizational goals and objectives to ensure quality care and services are provided to patients.
- Use effective communication and problem-solving skills to address any challenges or barriers that may arise during the referral and admission process.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the referral and admission process to enhance the patient experience and increase efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Behavioral Health Admissions Or Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Diagnoses And Treatment Options.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport With Clients And Their Families.
Proficiency In Using Electronic Medical Records And Other Relevant Software, As Well As The Ability To Work Remotely And Independently.
