1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Med Surg Telemetry unit.
2. Utilize strong medical surgical and telemetry nursing skills to effectively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
6. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment, and self-care techniques.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
8. Adhere to hospital and unit policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
9. Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
10. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
11. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that all patients receive the highest level of care.
12. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a cohesive and efficient healthcare experience for patients.
13. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
14. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
