
REGISTERED NURSE (RN) MED/SURG (NIGHTS)

- Provide high-quality and compassionate patient care to a diverse population on the Med/Surg unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Assess and monitor patient's condition, and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control protocols.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to potential patient complications.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure their needs and preferences are met.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

Valid Rn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For An Rn Med/Surg (Nights) Position At Universal Health Services Is A Valid And Active Nursing License. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Qualified To Provide Direct Patient Care And Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Med/Surg Experience: Universal Health Services Requires A Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Med/Surg Setting For This Position. This Experience Helps To Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Responsibilities And Challenges Of Working In This Unit.
Bls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification Is A Must-Have For Any Healthcare Professional, Including Rns. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Ability To Work Nights: This Position Specifically Requires The Candidate To Work Night Shifts, So It Is Essential That The Candidate Is Able To Work These Hours Without Any Scheduling Conflicts. This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Can Fulfill The Requirements Of The Job.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As An Rn Med/Surg (Nights), The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Assessing And Caring For Patients With A Variety Of Medical Conditions.
