  1. Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in the ICU.
  3. Assess and document patient responses to treatments and interventions, and adjust care plans accordingly.
  4. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  5. Educate and support patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  6. Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies in the ICU, ensuring they are functional and well-stocked.
  7. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses and other healthcare staff in the ICU.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  9. Stay updated on current trends and developments in critical care nursing, and participate in continuing education opportunities as required.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, advocating for the best interests of patients at all times.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient care, documentation, and professional conduct.
  12. Remain calm and focused in high-stress situations, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide effective care.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize the delivery of care in the ICU.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve own nursing practice, seeking feedback and opportunities for growth and development.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment within the ICU and across the hospital.

Job Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Icu Setting

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Preferred, But Not Required
