Job Description

Universal Health Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency department team on a full-time basis. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients in their most vulnerable moments.   1. Provide direct and compassionate patient care in the Emergency department.
  2. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with interdisciplinary team members.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
  6. Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  7. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise and implement patient care plans.
  8. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Remain updated on current healthcare practices and emergency nursing procedures.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and excellent patient care.
  13. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  15. Maintain a valid RN license and BLS certification.
  16. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  17. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  18. Be a positive and supportive member of the Emergency department team.
  19. Continuously evaluate and improve patient care processes.
