- Develop and implement personalized meal plans and nutrition interventions for patients with eating disorders, taking into consideration their medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and screenings to identify patients' specific nutritional needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans and interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition and the role it plays in their recovery from eating disorders.
- Provide individual and group nutrition counseling sessions to help patients develop a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.
- Stay updated on the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of eating disorders to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss patients' progress and develop integrated treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including progress notes and nutritional assessments.
- Serve as a resource and educator for staff members and the community on topics related to nutrition and eating disorders.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, as well as applicable laws and regulations, in the provision of nutrition services.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon program protocols and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, their families, and other team members.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their nutritional needs within the treatment team and the larger healthcare system.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities and pursue opportunities for advanced certifications and training in the field of eating disorders.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited University.
Certification As A Registered Dietitian (Rd) By The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Clients With Eating Disorders In A Clinical Setting.
Familiarity With Evidence-Based Treatments For Eating Disorders, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Cbt) And Family-Based Therapy (Fbt).
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Treatment Team And Provide Support To Clients And Their Families.
