  1. Utilize expertise in recreation and music therapy to provide individualized treatment plans for patients.
  2. Conduct assessments to determine patient needs and create appropriate therapy goals.
  3. Develop and implement therapeutic activities and interventions to address physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of patients.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  6. Continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.
  7. Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on the benefits of recreation and music therapy.
  8. Create a safe and supportive environment for patients to explore and express themselves through music and recreation.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in recreation and music therapy.
  10. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Act as an advocate for patients and promote their well-being and quality of life.
  12. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience in working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the healthcare team.
  14. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (Ctrs) Or Music Therapist-Board Certified (Mt-Bc).

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Recreational Or Music Therapy Services In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions For Individuals With Mental Health Diagnoses Or Disabilities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multidisciplinary Teams And Effectively Engage With Patients.
