Job Description

Are you customer service oriented, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Universal Health Services is seeking a PRN Receptionist to join our team. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our facility and play a crucial role in providing a positive experience for our patients and visitors. This is a PRN (as-needed) position, allowing for a flexible schedule. If you have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and possess the qualifications listed below, we would love for you to apply and become part of our team.

  1. Greeting and welcoming patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
  2. Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  3. Scheduling appointments and maintaining the facility's appointment calendar.
  4. Assisting with patient registration and intake processes.
  5. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  6. Collecting and processing patient payments.
  7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Providing exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  9. Collaborating with other team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  10. Adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations at all times.
  11. Assisting with various administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry.
  12. Keeping track of office supplies and restocking as needed.
  13. Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  14. Multitasking and handling a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  15. Maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Education Is Necessary To Perform Clerical Duties And Communicate Effectively With Patients And Staff.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Knowledge Of Patient Registration And Scheduling Processes Is Preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate In Person And Over The Phone Is Essential For A Receptionist In Order To Provide Excellent Customer Service And Relay Accurate Information.

  • Proficiency In Computer Software: The Ability To Use Electronic Health Record Systems And Other Basic Computer Programs Is Necessary For Maintaining Patient Records And Scheduling Appointments.

  • Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn (As Needed) Position, The Receptionist May Be Required To Work Varying Shifts And Hours, Including Weekends And Holidays, In Order To Cover For Absences Or Busy Periods.
