
Receptionist - Behavioral Health Setting (Part-Time)

- Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to the facility with warmth and professionalism.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records of patient visits and cancellations.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of mental health and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to provide accurate information and address any concerns or questions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of patient information and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations when handling patient information.
- Keep track of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing documents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment.

Knowledge Of Mental Health Terminology: A Basic Understanding Of Mental Health Terminology And Diagnoses Is Essential For A Receptionist In This Setting. This Will Help Them Communicate Effectively With Patients And Understand Their Needs.
Ability To Handle Confidential Information: Due To The Sensitive Nature Of The Information Handled In A Behavioral Health Setting, The Receptionist Must Be Able To Maintain Confidentiality And Handle Patient Information With Discretion. This Includes Following Hipaa Regulations And Maintaining Patient Privacy At All Times.
