1. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
2. Diagnose and treat patients with a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
3. Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
4. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions.
5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
6. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
