
Program Manager - Infection Prevention

- Develop and implement infection control strategies to prevent and control the spread of infections within the healthcare facility.
- Oversee compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards related to infection prevention.
- Lead a team of infection prevention professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a culture of excellence in infection prevention.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other staff, to promote and implement infection prevention best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in infection prevention and incorporate them into the program.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement in infection control procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with all levels of staff to promote awareness and understanding of infection prevention protocols.
- Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures related to infection prevention.
- Monitor and analyze infection data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as environmental services and facilities, to ensure proper infection control measures are in place.
- Serve as a resource for staff and patients regarding infection prevention protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate and assist with infection control education and training programs for new and existing staff members.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings and committees related to infection prevention.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses of any outbreaks or incidents of infection within the facility.
- Regularly report on the status of the infection prevention program to upper management and provide recommendations for improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Infection Prevention, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification In Infection Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).
Strong Knowledge Of Infection Control Guidelines, Regulations, And Best Practices.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Infection Prevention Programs And Initiatives.
