  1. Collect blood samples from patients in a safe, efficient and compassionate manner.
  2. Ensure accuracy and proper labeling of all collected samples.
  3. Transport blood samples to the laboratory for testing.
  4. Follow established protocols and procedures for collecting and handling blood samples.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  6. Verify patient information and confirm proper identification before collecting blood samples.
  7. Assist in maintaining inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  10. Handle difficult or sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
  11. Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to phlebotomy.
  12. Attend trainings and meetings as required.
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  14. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of samples.
  15. Handle and resolve any issues or concerns related to phlebotomy services.
  16. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  17. Display a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  18. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  19. Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures related to phlebotomy services.
  20. Represent Universal Health Services in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Phlebotomy Training Program Or Certification From A Recognized Phlebotomy Organization.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Proficient In Venipuncture Techniques, Specimen Collection, And Handling Of Blood Samples.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Accurately Label And Organize Specimens.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Team Members And Patients.
