  1. Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  2. Maintain inventory levels and order medications as needed.
  3. Verify and enter prescription information into the computer system.
  4. Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription information or answer any questions.
  5. Handle insurance and billing processes for prescriptions.
  6. Prepare and package medications for delivery or pickup.
  7. Monitor and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and maintain proper storage and handling of medications.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address any concerns or questions.
  10. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  11. Keep up-to-date with new medications and changes in pharmacy practices.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
  13. Assist with training and supervision of new pharmacy technicians.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or pharmacists.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At Universal Health Services Should Have Completed At Least A High School Education To Demonstrate Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Be A Certified Pharmacy Technician With A Valid Cpht Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Retail Pharmacy Setting Is Preferred To Show Familiarity With Pharmacy Operations And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals And Medical Terminology: A Solid Understanding Of Medications And Medical Terminology Is Crucial For A Pharmacy Technician To Accurately Fill Prescriptions And Communicate With Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Pharmacy Technicians At Universal Health Services Must Possess Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy To Avoid Errors In Medication Dispensing And Ensure Patient Safety.
