Responsibilities:
- Monitor and observe patients at all times, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Remain attentive and alert to any changes or needs of the patients, and report them promptly to the appropriate medical staff.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries to patients.
- Establish a trusting and compassionate relationship with patients, providing emotional support and reassurance when needed.
- Assist patients with basic needs such as toileting, feeding, and moving as directed by the medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient activity, including any observed changes in behavior or condition.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Remain calm and composed in potentially stressful situations, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Attend all required training and educational sessions to stay updated on patient care techniques and protocols.
- Alert the appropriate medical personnel in case of emergency or when a patient's condition deteriorates.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the unit.
- Uphold the values and mission of Universal Health Services, promoting a positive and caring environment for patients and staff alike.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
