Job Description

  1. Conduct mental health assessments for patients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community centers.
  2. Utilize empathy and active listening skills to create a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  3. Gather and analyze information from patients and their families to determine appropriate level of care.
  4. Collaborate with treatment teams to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on mental health resources and services available.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and interactions with patients.
  7. Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to mental health care.
  8. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  9. Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in emergency situations.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate patient care.
  12. Attend trainings and stay up-to-date on best practices in mental health assessment and treatment.
  13. Adhere to Universal Health Services' mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.
  14. Flexibly work a PRN schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of patients.
  15. Travel to various locations to conduct assessments, as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Mental Health Assessment And Crisis Intervention.

  • Knowledge Of Current Diagnostic And Assessment Tools, Such As Dsm-5 And Asam Criteria.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.

  • Current Certification Or Licensure As A Mental Health Professional, Such As Lpc, Lcsw, Or Lmft.
