Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Full-Time Mental Health Tech at Universal Health Services. In this role, you will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide essential support and assistance to patients in our mental health facility. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.   1. Provide direct care and support to patients struggling with mental health issues.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  3. Monitor and document patients' mental and emotional status, as well as any changes or improvements.
  4. Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, nutrition, and medication management.
  5. Utilize therapeutic communication techniques to build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with patients.
  6. Remain alert and attentive to any potential safety concerns or crisis situations, and take appropriate action to de-escalate and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  7. Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
  8. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations related to patient care and confidentiality.
  9. Continuously educate oneself on mental health disorders, treatment methods, and best practices to provide the highest quality care.
  10. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and progress.
  11. Serve as a role model for patients, displaying empathy, compassion, and professionalism at all times.
  12. Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to promote a collaborative and supportive environment.
  13. Attend and actively participate in trainings, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and promote a positive and supportive work culture.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Mental Health Setting

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Medical Assistant (Ma) Certification Preferred
