1. Provide direct care to patients with mental health issues, including monitoring their well-being, assisting with daily activities, and implementing treatment plans.
2. Foster a safe and supportive environment for patients by maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
3. Observe and document patient behaviors, progress, and any changes in their condition, and report to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
4. Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and management of difficult or aggressive behaviors.
5. Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
6. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu by facilitating group activities and promoting a sense of community among patients.
7. Monitor and maintain patient safety by following facility protocols and procedures.
8. Provide support and guidance to patients in developing coping skills and managing their mental health symptoms.
9. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
10. Stay updated on current mental health practices, policies, and procedures and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, maintain patient confidentiality, and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
