  1. Accurately code and enter medical records into the electronic health record system according to coding guidelines and regulations.
  2. Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Ensure that all medical records are organized and maintained in a secure and confidential manner.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation and coding of procedures and diagnoses.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes in coding regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  6. Conduct regular audits of medical records to identify any discrepancies or errors.
  7. Communicate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to resolve any coding issues or denials.
  8. Maintain a high level of attention to detail when coding and entering medical records to ensure accuracy.
  9. Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  10. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures regarding patient information.
  11. Utilize electronic health record systems and other software programs to accurately code and enter medical records.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to maintain coding proficiency and stay updated on healthcare industry changes.
  13. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families by addressing any concerns or questions related to medical records.
  14. Collaborate with the medical billing department to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Universal Health Services and its mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification From The American Health Information Management Association (Ahima).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Medical Coding And Billing.

  • Proficiency In Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Health Information Management (Him) Software.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Coding And Data Entry.
