- Oversee the management of all biomedical equipment and technology within the healthcare facilities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the safe and effective operation of medical equipment.
- Lead a team of biomedical engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to identify equipment needs and make recommendations for procurement.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technology trends to make informed decisions and recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements.
- Manage the budget for the biomedical engineering department and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Provide technical expertise and support to healthcare staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and parts.
- Ensure all equipment and technology is in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Train and mentor new biomedical engineering staff to ensure their success and growth within the organization.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote professional development.
- Adhere to ethical standards and promote a culture of safety and accountability within the biomedical engineering department.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including executives, to provide updates and recommendations on equipment status and performance.
- Contribute to the overall mission of the organization by providing high-quality patient care through reliable and efficient biomedical equipment and technology.
Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Biomedical Engineering, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Technology Used In Hospitals And Healthcare Facilities.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead A Team Of Biomedical Engineers.
