- Provide compassionate and comprehensive healthcare to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and monitor their effects.
- Document and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and medication administration.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient's condition to the healthcare team.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and routine examinations as needed.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with current healthcare practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay at Universal Health Services.
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain positive working relationships.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the organization and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice.
- Assist with training and mentoring of new LPN/LVN staff.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the healthcare team or management.
Current Lpn/Lvn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Lpn/Lvn Job At Universal Health Services Is A Valid And Current License To Practice As A Licensed Practical Nurse Or Licensed Vocational Nurse. This License Must Be Obtained From The State In Which The Individual Will Be Working And Must Be In Good Standing.
Experience In Healthcare: Universal Health Services Is A Healthcare Company, So Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting Is Highly Desired. This Could Include Experience As A Lpn/Lvn, Nursing Assistant, Or Other Related Roles.
Knowledge Of Medical Procedures: Lpns/Lvns At Universal Health Services Are Responsible For Providing Direct Patient Care, So A Strong Knowledge Of Medical Procedures And Protocols Is Essential. This Includes Skills Such As Administering Medications, Wound Care, And Basic Patient Assessments.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Lpn/Lvns Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Being Able To Provide Clear Instructions, Listen Actively, And Show Empathy And Compassion Towards Patients.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Healthcare Settings Can Be Fast-Paced And Require Individuals To Be Able To Think And Act Quickly. Lpn/Lvns At Universal Health Services Must Be Able To Handle A High Volume Of Tasks And Prioritize Effectively To Provide Quality Care To Patients. They Must Also Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Be Flexible In Their Approach To Patient Care.
