  1. Use artistic, musical, dance, or recreational therapy techniques to help patients on their journey towards healing and recovery.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each patient based on their individual needs and goals.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients with mental health or substance abuse disorders.
  4. Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the most effective therapy techniques for each patient.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  6. Utilize evidence-based practices and stay up-to-date on current research in the field of art, music, dance, or recreation therapy.
  7. Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients to express themselves and explore their creativity.
  8. Educate patients and their families on the benefits and purpose of art, music, dance, or recreation therapy.
  9. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development activities.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the practice of therapy.
  11. Advocate for the importance of art, music, dance, or recreation therapy in the overall treatment of mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues, patients, and their families.
  13. Continuously assess and monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  14. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
  15. Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Or Recreation Therapy From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current State Licensure As An Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Dance/Movement Therapist, Or Recreation Therapist.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In An Inpatient Mental Health Or Behavioral Health Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, And Mindfulness Techniques.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Treatment Team And Communicate Treatment Progress To Patients And Their Families.
