- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each patient based on their individual needs and goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients with mental health or substance abuse disorders.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the most effective therapy techniques for each patient.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and stay up-to-date on current research in the field of art, music, dance, or recreation therapy.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients to express themselves and explore their creativity.
- Educate patients and their families on the benefits and purpose of art, music, dance, or recreation therapy.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development activities.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the practice of therapy.
- Advocate for the importance of art, music, dance, or recreation therapy in the overall treatment of mental health and substance abuse disorders.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues, patients, and their families.
- Continuously assess and monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Or Recreation Therapy From An Accredited Institution.
Current State Licensure As An Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Dance/Movement Therapist, Or Recreation Therapist.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In An Inpatient Mental Health Or Behavioral Health Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, And Mindfulness Techniques.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Treatment Team And Communicate Treatment Progress To Patients And Their Families.
