  1. Review and analyze legal contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate contract negotiations and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  3. Conduct research and provide legal guidance on contract matters to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Maintain and organize contract records and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
  5. Monitor contract performance and provide updates to relevant parties as needed.
  6. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts.
  7. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and amendments.
  8. Stay up-to-date with changes in contract laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  9. Assist in developing and implementing contract management procedures and best practices.
  10. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to explain contract terms and answer any questions or concerns.
  11. Handle any contract-related disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for streamlining contract processes.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information during contract negotiations and discussions.
  14. Collaborate with other members of the legal department to ensure consistency and accuracy in contract management.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on contract law and provide training and guidance to other team members as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field: A Legal Contract Specialist At Universal Health Services Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field Such As Business Administration Or Healthcare Management. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Understanding Of Legal Principles And Can Effectively Navigate Complex Contracts.

  • Previous Experience In Contract Management: Candidates For This Role Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Contract Management, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Individual's Ability To Draft, Review, And Negotiate Contracts, As Well As Their Understanding Of Legal Terminology And Compliance Requirements.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: Universal Health Services Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And A Legal Contract Specialist Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations. This Includes Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute, Among Others.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Legal Contract Specialist, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Communicating And Negotiating With Various Internal And External Stakeholders. Therefore, Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential To Ensure That Contracts Are Properly Drafted And Executed.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Thinking: The Role Of A Legal Contract Specialist Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And The Ability To Think Critically And Analytically. This Is Necessary To Identify Potential Risks And Ensure That Contracts Are In Compliance With Applicable Laws And Regulations.
