
Lead Pharmacy Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy department and providing support to our team of pharmacy technicians. - Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department to ensure efficiency and accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Train and supervise a team of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in creating and implementing department policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and order necessary medications and supplies.
- Perform quality control checks on medications and equipment to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Handle and resolve patient and insurance inquiries and issues related to medications.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to accurately input and retrieve patient information.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the pharmacy team.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and medical staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Identify areas for improvement within the pharmacy department and implement solutions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep accurate records and reports of pharmacy activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or director.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Designation
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pharmacy Technician Role
Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Compounding, Dispensing, And Inventory Management
Proficient In Pharmacy Software Systems, Such As Epic Or Cerner
Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Pharmacy Technicians
