Lead Pharmacy Technician

1. Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department to ensure efficiency and accuracy in dispensing medications.
2. Train and supervise a team of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Assist in creating and implementing department policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
4. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
5. Maintain accurate inventory levels and order necessary medications and supplies.
6. Perform quality control checks on medications and equipment to ensure safety and accuracy.
7. Handle and resolve patient and insurance inquiries and issues related to medications.
8. Utilize electronic health record systems to accurately input and retrieve patient information.
9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and participate in continuing education opportunities.
11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the pharmacy team.
12. Communicate effectively with other departments and medical staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
13. Identify areas for improvement within the pharmacy department and implement solutions.
14. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
15. Keep accurate records and reports of pharmacy activities.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or director.
