- Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs during and after procedures.
- Assist with pre- and post-procedure care, including patient education and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with interventional radiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in the interventional radiology department.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patients' conditions and alert appropriate healthcare providers.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the interventional radiology process.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care for patients.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in interventional radiology procedures and techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as professional standards of practice.

Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment: The Candidate Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Nursing License In The State Where The Job Is Located To Be Considered For The Position.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Interventional Radiology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Interventional Radiology Setting, Either In A Hospital Or Outpatient Clinic.
Current Bls And Acls Certifications: As Interventional Radiology Procedures Can Be High-Risk, The Candidate Must Have Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.
Strong Critical Thinking And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have The Ability To Think Quickly And Make Sound Decisions In Emergency Situations. They Should Also Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Collaborate With The Interventional Radiology Team And Patients.
Knowledge Of Interventional Radiology Equipment And Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Interventional Radiology Equipment, Techniques, And Procedures, Including Angiography, Angioplasty, And Stent Placement. Additional Certifications In Radiology Nursing May Also Be Preferred.
